The Setting
Calverton, NY — one of the last habitable zones on Earth. The bombs hit Philadelphia, New York, and Montauk — but this resource-rich pocket of land between them was spared the worst of the radiation. Five factions converged on Calverton because it was the only place worth fighting for. Sub-zero temperatures, limited visibility, brutal winter conditions. Two full days of continuous operations. CRUCIAL DETAIL: Arctic Reign 1 had NO pre-set teams. Players couldn’t sign up for a faction ahead of time — they showed up on game day and picked their faction on the spot. Nobody knew who their teammates would be. Every faction had to build cohesion, leadership, and strategy from scratch on the field, in real time. This made the Commerce Militia’s survival even more impressive — they organized and executed their defense with strangers under live fire.
The Factions
Battle Recap
The Raider Onslaught Begins
The Red Raiders were the dominant force early on. They launched an aggressive campaign across the map, striking hard and moving fast while other factions tried to fortify.
Fort Freedom Falls
The Raiders hit the New American Republic first at Fort Freedom. They overwhelmed NAR’s defenses and wiped them out, capturing every key infrastructure point the Republic controlled.
Vault Aegis Destroyed
Next, the Raiders moved on the Federal Remnants at their vault. They destroyed them and captured all their infrastructure — effectively deleting the Federal Remnants from the game.
The Toughest Fight
The Oil Drummers at the Oil Refinery put up the toughest resistance the Raiders faced. Black Gold Haven held for a long time — but eventually, the Oil Drummers fell too.
The Raiders Turn on Commerce
With three factions eliminated, the Red Raiders turned their full force on the Commerce Militia — the last faction standing in their way. The Raiders attacked and captured 2 of 3 Commerce Militia infrastructure points.
THE LAST STAND
Through smart positioning, strategic alliances, and careful resource management throughout the game, the Commerce Militia clung to their final infrastructure point. They didn’t win by overwhelming force — they won by outlasting everyone else while the Raiders burned themselves out conquering the rest of the map. A razor-thin victory.
