Commerce Militia

Order Through Power

Our Story

Once a loose alliance of traders, scavengers, and mercenaries, the Commerce Militia has evolved into something far more dangerous. Three-time Reign champions — Arctic Reign 1, Summer Reign, Arctic Reign 2. In Summer Reign they out-earned the Red Raiders in the great currency grind and built the Water Purifier, seizing control of survival itself. Coming off that victory they expanded massively. In Arctic Reign 2 they built FIVE key infrastructure locations across the map — The Bank, The Water Purifier (carried over from Summer Reign), The Hospital, The Radio Tower (used for propaganda and communications), and an Oil facility — giving them enormous control and progressing the wasteland toward something resembling civilization under President-General Minkus. They crushed the Church of the Sea, put down the Red Raiders for good, and absorbed or neutralized every remaining survivor group. They now hold total, unchallenged control of Calverton. But their rise was built on a secret. Throughout Arctic Reign 2, rumors spread that President-General Minkus was corrupt. During the first main mission, a weapons shipment connected to the Red Raiders was intercepted, and Lt. Dave, Minkus’s right-hand man, discovered an invoice in Commerce Militia records with Minkus’s own signature on it — proof that Minkus had been secretly dealing weapons to the Red Raiders all along. At the end of the event, during the prize giveaway ceremony in front of the entire player base, Lt. Dave stood up and publicly revealed the invoice — showing every soul in the wasteland that their leader was corrupt. Minkus immediately fired Lt. Dave, then stabbed him to death on the spot in front of everyone. The illusion of Commerce Militia as righteous rebuilders shattered. Minkus revealed his true nature — a tyrant willing to murder his own people to hold power. He now rules alone through fear, force, and total resource control. They hold all five strongholds: The Bank controls the money; The Armory controls the guns; The Water Purifier controls survival itself; The Hospital controls who lives; The Communications Tower broadcasts propaganda across the wasteland. This is no longer a militia — it is a full militaristic authoritarian government built on corruption and blood. They tax the people, enforce their own laws, and crush dissent. They are the tyranny the Calverton Communist Party has risen to destroy.

Philosophy

Order through power. Power through resources. The strong rule. The weak obey. Calverton belongs to the Commerce Militia — and the Commerce Militia answers to one man.

Battle Record

Won Arctic Reign 1 by a hair — survived the Raider onslaught by holding their final infrastructure point through strategy and positioning. Won Summer Reign by out-earning the Red Raiders in the great currency grind, then using the winnings to build the Water Purifier and lock down control of water. Won Arctic Reign 2 decisively by building out all five strongholds (The Bank, Water Purifier, Hospital, Radio Tower, Oil facility) and crushing every rival faction — only for the victory ceremony to collapse into scandal when Lt. Dave exposed Minkus’s secret weapons trade with the Red Raiders, and Minkus murdered him in front of the entire wasteland. Defending their regime in Summer Reign 2 under Minkus’s sole, authoritarian rule.
